I heard someone on the radio the other day refer to this passage from Jeremiah 10:3-4:
“Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over.” He said that if you didn’t think the passage was talking about how Christmas trees are evil then you’re the Devil’s liar. I mean it’s obvious right? Cut down a tree and put gold ornaments and silver tinsel. I have a problem with that exegesis. But what do I know.
