A festive renewal with the sun
A rite of passage, a toll booth for life
A new four legged monster, all mine
To ride in his belly, he carries me around
To a world of these monsters I now belong
In single filed lines, rules sprung anew
Some words on the side tell me what to do
These are your rules, every monster must obey.

To have a weighty conversation, that’s all I want
Ridiculed for my nature, even given a name
For my symptoms, it’s like a disease.
The smiling side of a two faced mask
I do have a grave side, uncontrollably covered.
Ha! I can’t help that!
A convulsion of sounds, my reply
The spasm that laughs at the world.
You’ve seen the films, a beast I am
This “laughing” term cloaks my savagery.
It’s the noise I make, it resembles your own
Spasm of sheer joy.
Ha! I can’t help that!
A smile of seething fangs
Hungry for those who despise
The mockers are more than a belly full
And hunger is on my side
The irony is I can gather my peers
For we all share a hidden rage
Against the ignorant many.
Together we can kill them all
Ha! I can’t help that!
